Algeria reaches the African Cup semi-finals
Algeria qualified to the semi-finals of the African Nations Cup, at the expense of Ivory Coast penalty shootout (4-3), after the tie in the original time and extra 1-1.
The Algerian team managed to open the scoring in the 20th minute after a cross by Rami Bensabini to Sufian Figouli inside the penalty area to put the latter in the goal successfully.
In the 62nd minute, Côte d'Ivoire managed to score the equalizer after striker Jonathan Cudgea put the ball into the box and put it in the Algerian net.
