Newcastle were able to score the equalizer through Jose Solomon Rondon in the 66th minute after a cross from the defense and then header from the Newcastle player around the box and Rondon's shot into the net.
In the 80th minute, the referee awarded a penalty for Newcastle after a mistake by Fernandinho on Newcastle in the penalty area (Matt Ritchie), who scored the second goal, and then ended the match 2-1 to Newcastle.
