Algeria clings to Nigeria and sets a date for Senegal in the final of Alcan
The Algerian team qualified for the African Nations Cup final, following a dramatic victory over their Nigerian counterpart at the meeting held on Monday evening at Cairo International Stadium 2-1 in the semi-finals of the tournament.
The Algerian team managed to score a goal by William Econing in the 40th minute after a cross from the inside of the box by William Econge.
In the 73rd minute, the referee awarded Nigeria a penalty after using the video technique after a touch of Mandy. Udion Igalo, who hit the ball successfully, scored the equalizer for Nigeria.
At the time everyone thought that the meeting would go for extra hours, the referee calculated a free-kick directly from outside the penalty area for Algeria (Riad Mehrez) scored the winning goal in the minute "90 + 5" to end the meeting 2-1.
