Egypt penalize Uganda and qualify for the full African Nations Cup
The Egyptian team won a difficult victory at the expense of the Ugandan national team, in the meeting held on the grounds of the "Cairo International" 2-0, in the third round and final of the group stage of the African Nations Cup.
Egypt rose to nine points with the full mark in the top of Group A, while Uganda was stuck at 4 points in second place, and qualified both teams to the round of 16 of the African Championship.
The first half of the game saw a preference from the Ugandan side, which threatened the goal more than a serious chance, but goalkeeper Chenawi saved his goal more than once, amid the poor performance of the Egyptian team.
In contrast to the first half, the Egyptian team scored the goal of progress through (Mohammed Salah) in the minute "36" after a free kick directly on the outskirts of the penalty area Salah scored against the Ugandan team.
In the minute 45 + 1, the Egyptian team scored a second goal through Ahmed Al-Mohammadi after a ball arrived at Ayman Ashraf before sending a cross from Salah before reaching Al-Mohammadi who scored in the net.
In the second half, the Ugandans continued their advantage and their attempts but missed the last match amidst the brilliance of goalkeeper Shennawi, Emmanuel Okoe wasted a goal for Uganda, the minutes passed and then the meeting 2-0 for Egypt.
The Republic of Congo won the same round against Zimbabwe 4-0, Congo raised its credit to 3 points in third place, while Zimbabwe is stuck at one point in fourth place.
