Espérance beat Tunisia's Mazembe 1-0 in the African Champions League semi-final of the season.
Esperance managed to defeat Congo 1-0, scored by striker Youssef Blaile, in the 51st minute of the match in Tunis.
Esperance will have to reap a positive result next week in Congo to secure qualification and reach the final of the biggest tournament in Africa.
The match saw a terrible injury to Esperance player Hamdou Al-Houni, and a red card for the player who hit the Libyan player and knocked him out of the game in tears.
