Zamalek, Egypt, won the first leg of the Egyptian Premier League with a 1-0 victory over Smouha in a postponed match from round 24.
The only goal of the game, Tunisian player Ferjani Sassi, from a penalty awarded to the white giant and executed by Sassi successfully in the 37th minute.
The game left Hazem Imam, the right defender and Zamalek captain, in the 47th minute, due to injury. Tunisian Hamdi Al-Naqaz took part in the match.
Zamalek lifted the lead to 57 points and took the lead from Al Ahli, which was released yesterday after a victory over Al Ittihad of Alexandria, raising the score to 55 points.
