Tunisia's Esperance champions managed to win a 1-0 home win over South Africa's Orlando Pirates in a 2-0 win at Al-Menzah Stadium in the fourth round of the African Champions League.
With the victory, Esperance lifted their points to eight points to take the top spot in the second set of Orlando, who dropped to second place after a 5 point draw, while Guinean came third with four points and Platenium from Zimbabwe fourth with a point.
The home side was able to reach the South African net in the 16th minute of the match, after a steady ball passed by Algerian star Youssef Al-Balaili to his teammate Anis Al-Badri, who gave his left foot brilliantly to the left of the goalkeeper.
In the second half Esperance tried to add another goal, and managed in the 89th minute through substitute Haitham Al-Juwaini, from a counter-attack, as Al-Badri brought the ball to the goal in front of the goal, to be awarded the latter in the net successfully.
