Borussia Dortmund recovered the winning streak with a difficult and valuable win over Bayer Leverkusen in the 23rd round of the Bundesliga, with Dortmund lifting 54 points and strengthening their lead. Leverkusen remained seventh with 36 points.
Borussia Dortmund opened the scoring in the 30th minute after a corner kick from the Bayer Leverkusen defender and set up a young defender, Dan Axel Zagadou, to put the ball into the net.
The visitors were able to score the equalizer in the 37th minute with a shot from outside the box by Kevin Fuland, and only a minute later Dortmund regained the lead after a cross from Diallo. Sancho had a great touch in the net.
In the 60th minute, Dortmund boosted their lead with a third goal from Mario Gutzze, who had a corner kick on the line and in the 75th minute Leverkusen cut the lead to give Jonathan Tah a good header.
