UAE team hit a date with his Qatari counterpart in the first semi-finals of the Asian Nations Cup (Emirates 2019) after winning the quarter-final match of the tournament on Friday evening on his Socceroos 1-0.
The match began with an Emirati attempt in the second minute with a shot from Ismael Al Hammadi, but the ball hit the defender and turned into a corner. The Australian responded with an attempt in the fifth minute with Trent Sainsbury's header on the goal.
In the 20th minute, the United Arab Emirates tried again with a new shot from Al Hammadi, which was saved by goalkeeper Mathieu Ryan. The Australian responded in the 39th minute with a powerful shot from the edge of the area by Oikonomidis.
At the start of the second half, there were several attempts by the Australian side to score the goal, such as the header of Robbie Cruz grabbed by the keeper, and then Bihić cross from the left, Oikonomidis failed to score.
In the 69th minute, the UAE team managed to score the winner after Mohamed Abdel Rahman put pressure on defender Djennac, forcing the latter to return the ball to the keeper in a wrong way. Ali Mabkhout snatched it and spun the goalkeeper brilliantly into the goal.
