Qatar won the Arab Championship in the third round of the Group Stage of the 17th Asian Cup in the UAE, against their Saudi team and won by 2-0, to qualify for the second round of the tournament.

The referee scored a penalty for the Qatari team in the 41st minute, after striker Moez Ali was blocked in the area by the leader Hassan Al-Heidos, but missed the goal by Al-Annabi by Saudi goalkeeper Mohammed Al Owais.
But the Qatari team insisted on coming out of the first half, scoring the first goals in the time instead of lost in this half, after a pass from the Heidos Almaz to put in the goal brilliantly, amid bad control of the Saudi defense.
In the 80th minute of the game Qatar scored the second goal by Muiz Ali with a distinctive head after a ball lifted from a corner, to end the meeting with a 2-0, to achieve Annabi full mark, and tops the Group V deservedly.
